Highlights
- Creative development and head writer for the reality TV series Rescue-X on the Outdoor Life Network.
- Received a 1996 ITVA Eva Award, and nominations for a 1995 Gemini Award and 1996 REEL Award for the one-hour television program Binary Groove.
- Co-directed, story produced and wrote E.T. & Me, a documentary about one person’s search for an interview with an extraterrestrial that aired on Discovery Channel’s Sunday Showcase in the Spring of 1996. The one-hour program was nominated at HotDocs! that same year.
- Written and directed almost a hundred corporate videos and TV ad spots. Client list includes Canada Post, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency, CIDA, Department of National Defence, Human Resources Development Canada, PSAC, Statistics Canada, Stentor, Tourism Canada.
- Former faculty member of Algonquin College’s scriptwriting program.
Background
Eric is a communications professional with 17 years experience writing and directing for today's media. In addition to his television and video credits, he has worked on cutting-edge projects for the Internet and multimedia.
In every project he undertakes, Eric demonstrates his ability to understand a topic, tell compelling audience-targeted stories, draw convincing performances from actors, and get the most out of a production schedule and budget.
Eric lives in Ottawa with his wife, daughter and collie. For fun he teaches sailing and navigation, races his Shark-class sailboat Vindaloo, and pursues an interest in cooking and modern history.
